DON'T BE LOUD — horror multiplayer game
DON'T BE LOUD

Privacy Policy

Effective October 21, 2026

Who is responsible

Developer: Lil Aladin. For privacy questions or data deletion requests, contact the developer through the DON'T BE LOUD Discord server.

Data the game processes

  • Game profile: your chosen nickname and a random installation identifier created on your device. The game server uses it to recognize a reconnecting player during a game session.
  • Room and match information: room code and name, room state, player count, game version, selected character, readiness and connection state, and technical events needed to operate game rooms.
  • Voice chat: if you grant microphone permission and enable the microphone, audio is captured while in use and sent to other participants in your room for voice chat. The game does not send audio for transcription or analysis. You can turn off the microphone in the game or revoke permission in your device settings.
  • Network and technical data: servers and hosting providers may receive your IP address, request time, requested resource, request type, and connection details. The room server's Nginx web server keeps request logs. The room coordinator does not store players' IP addresses in its database or diagnostic events. The hosting provider may process technical data to deliver traffic, protect, and diagnose the service.
  • Local settings: your nickname, microphone settings, room name, and entered room code may be stored on your device by the game.

How data is used and shared

Data is used to provide multiplayer gameplay, show the player list, restore a profile after reconnecting, provide voice chat, protect the service, and troubleshoot issues. Room-management requests are sent to the room coordinator over HTTPS. Game data and voice you choose to send are transmitted to the game server and participants in your room. Technical logs are processed on the VPS hosting the game services. We do not sell data or use it for advertising profiles. Unity Analytics, advertising, and in-app purchases are disabled in the current game.

When you turn on an in-game radio, the game may send your IP address to ipapi.co to infer your country. If that lookup fails, it may try ipwho.is. The game uses the returned country code to find local radio stations through the Radio Browser directory; it does not save your IP address or inferred location as game data. These external services receive network requests and may process or retain technical data, including IP addresses, under their own privacy practices. When a station is played, your device connects to the station operator, which can receive your IP address. Some station streams use HTTP and are not encrypted in transit. Radio is optional; you can choose not to turn it on.

Retention and deletion

Room codes, names, and state are kept in the coordinator database while a room is active. Unjoined rooms are automatically removed after 5 minutes. Finished or empty rooms are removed during routine cleanup, normally 45 seconds after a room becomes empty. Network request logs and technical logs may be stored separately for security and diagnostics according to VPS settings and may contain network addresses. Voice is transmitted in real time; the developer does not record it for permanent storage.

You can remove the installation identifier and local settings by clearing the game's data or uninstalling the game. To request deletion of data that may still remain on the server or in technical logs, contact the developer through the DON'T BE LOUD Discord server and include DON'T BE LOUD and your nickname or room code. Do not send passwords. Data needed to protect the service or comply with law may be kept for as long as necessary.

Children and security

The game does not ask for your name, email address, exact date of birth, or Google profile data. Parents or guardians may contact the developer through the Discord link above if they believe a child provided personal data. HTTPS is used for coordinator requests, and server access is restricted. No internet transmission or device storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. This page will be updated if our practices materially change.
